Alliums

Friends: beets, tomatoes, lettuce, carrot
Enemies: peas, beans

Apples Trees-

Friends: take away all the grass around its roots,
Clumps of chives stop apple scab
Foxglove grown around the tree gives it strength
Wall flower makes the apple tree happy!
Enemies: of a sort
Carrots and potatoes don’t like to be anywhere near the apple trees!

Asparagus-

Friends: parsley and tomatoes
Enemies:

Basil:

Friends- bees, everything likes basil!
Plant basil around tomatoes they love it!
Enemies: its drives away aphids, fruit flies, whiteflies, and house flies!
Basil does not like rue!

Green Beans

Friends: bush beans, beets, potatoes planted by each other will be very happy!
Carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, lettuce, peas, parsley, and cauliflower love green beans
Enemies: onions, garlic, fennel or gladiolas

Beets

Friends: onions, Swiss chard lettuce, kohlrabi, cabbage, and bush beans.
Enemies: tall beans,

Borage
Friends: strawberries!
Enemies: don’t know any yet!

Broccoli

Enemies: strawberries don’t grow good with broccoli! It will stunt the growth of the strawberry.

Brussels sprouts

Enemies: Don’t grow your strawberries by these veggies either!
 Note:To make a collar to deter cutworm
Use either tar paper or cardboard
Cut into 3 inch widths. Cut off in lengths to make a neat circle around the plant, then staple them together. Drop them over the plant sinking an inch of the collar into the dirt.

Cabbage

Friends: beans, beets, celery, mint, sage, thyme, rosemary, hyssop, southernwood, mint, chamomile, orange nasturtiums, tansy, onions, dill and potatoes
Enemies: strawberries, tomatoes
Be sure not to grow yellow nasturtiums to close to the cabbages because aphids do like them!

Friends: peas, lettuce, radishes, chives, onions, sage, and leeks

Sometimes sprinkling some wood ashes around the plant will help against insects attacking the plant.
Also use the Brussels Sprout collar for this plant!
